A Sussex County painter's first six weeks

A painting company in Lincoln, Delaware turned the Lead Engine on in mid-August 2026. Six weeks later it had three working referral partners it had never spoken to before, from emails alone. This page is the record: what went out, who answered, and what it cost the owner in time, which was nothing.

The client is real and the numbers are read from the campaign logs on September 24, 2026. The company is not named here until its owner clears it.

Answered

3 partners

Three real replies from three businesses that wanted to work together, plus one polite no and one opt-out. No spam complaints.

The three replies, in the order they came

Day 29: a real estate broker

The broker of record at a Rehoboth Beach brokerage wrote back to say she was "looking forward to sending a few jobs your way." Realtors need a painter they trust before every listing and every closing. She now has one.

Day 31: a flooring and design showroom

The owner of a Fenwick Island flooring, cabinet and countertop showroom asked the painter to come to the showroom to talk about working together on his projects, copied his project manager, and asked for dates. A showroom sends its customers to exactly one painter. This is how you become that painter.

Day 37: a brokerage team

A team at a national brokerage's local office replied that they would add the painter to their list of painters for Sussex County. Every agent on that team now has his name in front of them.

None of the three had heard of the painter before the first email. None came from an ad, a lead marketplace or a phone call. The owner's part was to answer three emails.

What made it work

Offer the reader something, then follow up

The email

Useful to the person reading it

"I am a licensed, insured painting crew in Lincoln, covering all of Sussex County, and I wanted to introduce myself." A property manager or a showroom can use that the day it arrives. Replying costs them nothing and gains them a vendor.

The follow-up

Where most replies come from

82 of the 215 emails were follow-ups. Across our campaigns, follow-ups reply at about three times the rate of first emails, so the sequence does the patient work a busy owner never gets to.

The checks

Nothing sent that could not be true

Every claim in every email is tested against the live web before it sends, every address is verified, and a person reads the day's batch each morning. The map of who to write to is rebuilt as the market changes.

The pipeline audit is free. We map your market, count the reachable referral partners, and show you what the first email to them would say. Nothing to buy to get it.
